Phone calls in Japanese,
so you don't have to.
Takiki places restaurant, clinic, and salon reservations in fluent Japanese on behalf of migrant families adapting to life in Japan — and helps the kids practice the language at home.
How it works
Tell Takiki what you need
"Book dinner for 2 tomorrow at 7pm at 田中レストラン." In your language.
Takiki places the call
Dials the business, speaks polite Japanese, navigates the conversation, books your slot.
You get a confirmation
Time, party size, name — back in your language, in under a minute.
Modes
Takiki Calls
Outbound JP phone reservations and follow-ups, by voice.
Takiki Talk
Conversational Japanese practice grounded in your real daily life.
Takiki Drill
Vocabulary captured from your real calls, surfaced in 3-minute drills.
Takiki Kids
Bilingual voice companion for curious children, with parent oversight.
Every outbound call discloses AI involvement
Takiki never impersonates a human. The assistant identifies itself as an AI calling on behalf of the user at the start of every outbound call, in line with Japan's 総務省 guidance on automated voice. One call per explicit user click — never bulk, never marketing.
Who it's for
Migrant families in Japan in the first 0–24 months after arrival. Initial users are a handful of Tokyo households who have explicitly consented to participate as testers. Public launch planned for late 2026.
Built on
An open-source workflow engine for agentic systems. Real-time voice infrastructure handles outbound calls. AI involvement is disclosed on every call. User data is encrypted at rest and can be permanently deleted by the user at any time.
Compliance
Takiki is designed to align with Japan's APPI (Act on the Protection of Personal Information), China's PIPL where applicable to Chinese-citizen users, and Twilio's Acceptable Use Policy for AI voice. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for the full details of how data is handled and what we will and will not do on your behalf.
